Inhabit and Love Your Journey

Tessa Saks Poetry

Inhabit Your Journey

Are you really living where you live?
Or do you keep a facade in a desperate attempt to convince yourself or others, of your determined existence.

We are all on a journey. We often fool ourselves into thinking we have arrived but as in literature, the real story is the journey and not the destination.

I do this myself.

I feel so good when I am safe and my outcome is certain. Yet I also long for adventure. And to break free from routine and certainty.

And it is in the adventure where we discover who we are and what we are made of.

I recently moved across the country and found myself insecure and nervous about many aspects that were solid before. How could I slip into a state of doubt so easily? Especially when I have been the rock of advice that others cling to.

I couldn’t believe it. Where did my self-assurance go? Why did I no longer trust my inner voice? And where did all this fear come from?

It takes a while to listen to your soul and hear the longings and desires stirring deep within. I wanted quick and simple answers. But the beauty of life is that it is complex and layered. And the digging and uncovering of the layers is where our own beauty lies.
The truth was I suddenly didn’t trust myself. The doubts lingered and gained momentum no matter how I tried to push them away. So, what could I do? How to silence the fear tape in my head?
I began to take small steps to find some security in my thinking. A little bit of proof in my actions. And little-by-little I felt the door to my soul opening and letting in the light of change. I started to see opportunity where I had seen problems. I could feel excitement when I looked into the unknown future by reminding myself nothing is carved into our life. And I am the one with the biggest chisel!

What kind of new life will I carve out for myself? What new experiences will shape me into the future? And who will I become when all these new forces attract and carry me forward towards my desires?
Instead of hiding and blanketing my soul with fear—I am now ready to boldly test the waters of chance.

By opening myself to life and risking the safety of the known, perhaps I will find that life really is like a video game. And thrill of moving up to higher level with new challenges and adventures is what we all came here for.

So look around at the world you inhabit and ask yourself if you are ready to make a change?
And to rediscover all the joy and wonder of the journey.

Poem: Finding Your Path

PER-734-Annika

There is one path. The path you choose.

Look forward. Look ahead to what you desire.
This is the path.
Fill your heart with your desires. Love. Life. Joy.
Whatever you see, whatever you desire. Hold it.
Create it by belief. Create it by allowing. By following your heart. This is the way.
This is the only way.

What is in your heart? Love? Joy? Grief? Despair?
What do you desire?
Hold it. Hold on to it daily. Hourly. Minute by minute.

Ask yourself:
What is my deepest desire?
What results do I truly seek in this moment?
In the next moment?
In all the moments forward?

What destiny will my thoughts lead me to?
What course am I creating in this exact moment?
You will never know the specifics of the course, but you will always know the destination.
Hold that. Hold it in your heart.
Let others see the destiny in your heart by your actions.

Forgiveness and joy will lead to your goals.
Jealously and fear will not take you there. That will be a path to unhappiness.
Are you adding to that path?
Which path are you on in this exact moment?

Adjust.
Be on the path to what you hold in your heart. This is the only way to happiness. The only way to joy.
Hold love in your heart.

The journey to love will be a path with many outcomes along the way.
Embrace them.
Honor them.
Use the moments to fuel new moments.

Rising to the surface will be your path.
Embrace it.
Enjoy it.
Be love.

Love

The essence of love cannot be learned.

You cannot study and become loving.

It starts inside.

It is eternal. It is flow.

It is released from your center.

It is to be shared, given away, released unconditionally.

It is not a practiced art where one can become better by reading and repeating.

It is spontaneous. Allowing.

It pours out of your center and fills you.

Once you are full, you can direct outwards to others.

Like a source of power and energy; it radiates out and there is no limit to how far reaching it can go.

This is the essence of love.

Be Yourself by Tessa Saks

To become better at something – don’t read about it.
Feel it.
Then try it. Feel all the knowledge and power that is available to you.

It will come without study. The ones who spend a life time studying are afraid.
They are afraid to be themselves.
They rely on others’ ideas, others examples, others’ thoughts.

You can have whatever you need by tapping into your heart, your soul.
Open yourself to trials.
Open yourself to experiment.
Let it flow out from inside if you.

Stop and feel. Stop and feel what you want to achieve.
You do not have to try to think of everything.
It’s all there, stored for your own use.

Everyone has this power. Everyone can tap into it.
What do you want to know, to do? What could you become without study?
Let it flow.

Stop trying to force things in to your life.
Appreciate, then move on.

Do not spend all your time in the past.
Take the knowledge that already is and build on it.
Make it yours.
It’s available anytime. Anywhere.
Just ask.

Imagine spending your entire life reading about writing.
Would you be a great writer?
Would you be a better writer if you wrote from your heart?
It is writing verses editing. Flowing versus forcing.
Being real versus being right.

You cannot create anything new trying to do what is already done.
Be brave, be bold, be free.

Talent is tapping into your unlimited knowledge base and using it for you.
The world is full of copycats.
Every day thousands, millions go to work and repeat tasks over and over.

Brilliance comes from research, from thinking beyond, thinking bold, thinking outside the routine.
Even more important, brilliance comes from feeling knowledge.
Feel your source of skill.
Feel your source of ability.
Use all that has been done before, but in a new way.

If you aren’t adding new, you don’t need to repeat over and over.
It becomes more of the same.
There is already enough of that.
Add something new.
Let go of the same. Break rules.
Force changes.

Why do laws need to be based on the past? Why not just create an entire batch of new ones?
New stories, new art, new foods.
The world has enough of the same.
When the world starts demanding new, it will move forward even faster.

The past can be a starting point, but not an end.
We don’t need to redo it.
Why are we afraid of change?
Why do we want our lives to repeat over and over again?
What are we so afraid of?
The past reinforces where we have been, that we have lived. But let it go.

Begin new.
Save for change.
Don’t worry about being wrong.
There is no wrong…

There is no wrong.

How Much in Our Lives is Tangible?

Beauty

I just received the print version of my new novel to proof. It feels real. Finally.

Not that an eBook isn’t real. But paper has a sense of permanence, of contribution.

That it really does exist.

But this also made we wonder–

How much in our lives is tangible?

What makes something real?

Our memories are such a huge part of who we are:

we remember the joy of a first kiss

the frustration of a low grade in school

the pain from a breakup

the thrill of a win, no matter how small.

All these memories combine to shape who we are. Yet, other than some photos, some souvenirs or keepsake items, we rely on memory.

So the big question is:

With so many memories, which ones do we choose to revisit?

Which ones guide our life and our choices?

Which ones interfere in our reactions?

Help in our compassion?

We sift and sort and choose.

Some of us choose to revisit more of the joyous and the fun.

Some choose misery and pain. But we choose.

And whatever we choose to revisit does shape us. Everyday.

We, in this intangible but living dream called life, decide which files in the mind to flag important and which ones to trash.

Some of us are really good at trashing them. I’m learning to hit that trash button every time a memory surfaces that involves hurt or rejection or indifference. Anything that left me wounded in some small way–good-bye! I trash it and let the person who did it to me have a clean slate.

It’s not easy! The deeper the hurt, the more it reappears and needs to be trashed again. But in time, I hope the inbox of my memories is filled with the good, the happy, the thrilling.

Kind of makes sense really–

make room for what you really want to remember your life to be like–

writing your own history and creating your own tangible book that is you!

Discover Love

by Tessa Saks

The world is beauty.

You are beauty.

Love is beauty.

See the beauty inside all of life.

Trust it.

Allow it.

Do not think too hard.

Do not try to force it.

Open to it. Allow it.

Let it flow. Release love. Release beauty.

Open yourself to the possibilities of beauty.

It’s everywhere.

All around you.

Every day.

Don’t question.

Expand.

Expand what is good—what is joy—what is love.

Send it out to others.

Share with others.

Your role is to give it to others.

Share it.

Be the light for them.

Be the hope.

Find ways to share it.

Allow it to flow from you to others.

Open.

Open your heart.

Stop the questioning.

Stop the analysis.

Just be.

Then do.

Be the love. Be the light.

Every day.

Inspire others to their potential.

Give the gift of love.

Give the gift of kindness.

Give the gift of self-discovery.

Your gift to them is to help them discover the beauty within themselves.

Help others to release their blocks.

Help others to see what beauty resides within all.

They are loved.

They are beauty.

They are joy.

Start small. Start around you.

Take the time for others.

Give what is inside you.

Be the light.

Discover the joy in others and you will be joyous.

Allow love to flow.

Be open to the possibilities before you.

Try new things.

Allow yourself to be open to new ideas.

Create a new world.

Create love.

Forget your ego.

Write.

Paint.

Teach.

Talk.

Share.

Trust in yourself.

Give others hope.

Be part of the solution.

Let go of the problems.

Use your inner glow to guide others.

Be their light until they discover their own.

Be their love.

Be their compassion.

Be the bridge to get them to themselves.

Life is meant to be joyous.

Life is meant to be fun.

Life will have sorrow.

Life will have pain.

It’s the joy and bliss that erase the sorrow and the pain.

The sorrow and pain is there to remind you that you have a choice, every day.

A choice to embrace life.

A choice to destroy life.

In your sorrow and pain you destroy life. Your life, the life others.

Each person has the power to create bliss, to create joy.

When we’ve lost the way to joy we can stay lost.

We can get deeper and deeper into pain, into sorrow.

There is a way free.

There is always a way free.

Find yourself.

The inner self.

The deepest self.

There is only love.

There is only joy.

There is only bliss when you find your inner you.

Trust in it.

Find a path to it.

Find a reliable path to access it as much as possible.

Be humble and realize that you are only love.

That is all. That is enough.
